Oscar Winning Actor Michael Douglas has Throat Cancer

Doctors have discovered a tumor in Michael Douglas’ throat. There is no word yet if the tumor is malignant or benigne, but doctors have given Douglass an excellent prognosis.

The 65 year old Wall Street star will undergo eight weeks of chemotherapy and is expected to make a full recovery.

In a brief statement the Michael Douglas said he was “optimistic” about his condition.

Douglas is best known for his role in Wall Street and directing the Academy Award winning film One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest. Douglas will be on the silver screen again this fall in the sequel Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps.
